2-Day Desert Trip from Marrakech

Day 1: Marrakech – Sahara – High Atlas Mountain – Ouarzazate

At 8 a.m., our guide will pick you up from your Riad or hotel in Marrakech. We begin our day by crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-n-Ticheka pass at 2260m, where we will stop for photos in the valleys and traditional villages. The road will take us to Ouarzazate, Morocco’s film capital, where we will stop for lunch. We will have time in the afternoon to explore the largest palm tree valley and take the old caravan road (off-road) for a while to get to the other views on the other side of the valley. We continue towards Zagora, where our camel ride begins for an hour to reach the small dunes of Tizi before sunset.

Day 2: Zagora – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

You can get up early to catch the sunrise, which is always a beautiful sight in the Sahara desert. After watching the Sahara sunset and eating breakfast in the camp, you will be able to ride the camels for another 40 minutes. Following that, our return to Marrakech will begin by following the Draa Valley to Ouarzazate and then to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO world heritage site since 1987 and the most restored Ksar in the south of Morocco, as well as the setting for many Hollywood blockbusters. We will stop to visit the site and have lunch nearby before continuing to Makech via the High Atlas. We arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon.
