This day trip from Fes will take us through Fes’s Ville Nouvelle and then across the fertile Saiss plain. The Middle Atlas Mountains will be our destination. We will arrive in Ifrane, also known as Switzerland of Morocco, after passing through an oak forest. Due to its elevation and climate, you can easily sense how similar the town is to one in Europe. Today, it serves as more of a mountain resort, a provincial administrative hub, and a college town. Here, we will stop so that you can take in the allure of this distinctive Semi-Alpine beauty. Later, we travel to the Azrou Cedar Forest; where there is a chance, we will see Barbary Apes, which are native to the forest in the Atlas Mountains. A break will be taken there so that we can take some photos.
